Success Advice from My five-year-old Son - CCSalesPro

Hi, my name is James Shepherd.  There IS a key to success financially.  This short and simple episode will show you how that key will unlock success for YOU.  Learn the common denominator for every successful sales person.  Take some extra simple advice and get on the path to success.

Today I’m going to share some success advice from my five-year-old son, Donnie.  I love this so much!

My Mother-in-law is nanny to our children.  Recently she had the following discussion with my kindergartner, Donnie.  He was questioning Nana as to why Daddy was out of town and what Daddy was doing there.

Nana:  “Daddy is going to teach people what he does and how they can make money the way Daddy does.”

Donnie:  “Why does he have to explain that to people?  That’s so easy!”

Nana:  “It’s easy?  What do you mean?”

Donnie:  “All they have to do is go to work like Daddy does, and they will make money like he does.”

This advice from my son is absolutely true!  The number one reason people are not successful in selling anything, including merchant services, is they just don’t go to work.  Donnie has noticed every morning Daddy goes to work.  He has also noticed that every evening after Daddy spends special time with the family, he goes back to work.  My son has put two and two together.  Daddy makes money.  He works lots of hours.  Maybe those two things have a correlation.  Guess what?  They DO!  To be successful financially you must go to work and work hard.

Do I hear some of you saying, “I can stop reading now.  That’s a cute little tip from James’ son.  I got it.”?  Do you really?  Let’s look at the last five business days.  Take a piece of paper as soon as you finish reading this.  Write down how many hours you worked each of the last five business days.

Here is the run down on those numbers.

  • Total hours = less than 20. You are going to fail.
  • Total hours = less than 30. You are going to barely make a living.
  • Total hours = less than 40. You might make a full-time income the same as an employee.
  • Total hours = less than 50. You’re not really an entrepreneur, but you might make some money.
  • Total hours = more than 50. You have a chance at success.

There’s your tip for today from my five-year-old son.  I hope you have an awesome day!
