It now costs around $200 for a device that can steal your pin pad using an iPhone.  This article is a little off topic from what I usually post about how to sell payment processing, but I wanted to post this video, to simply show how easy it is for fraud and identity theft to happen.  American consumers are still generally ignorant of how often this sort of thing happens which is why new technologies such as NFC and EMV have been adopted slowly, but I believe over time, they will move to more secure forms of payment such as EMV (Chip & Pin) and NFC (Apple Pay / Google Wallet) as a result of issues like the one in this video.
