Here is a quick scheduling tip.  A person who schedules the farthest in advance is the one who usually has control over events.  If you are self-employed, you need to be your own boss.  This means you need to set your own schedule and stick to it!  Set your schedule far enough in advance so that when others want your time, you can nicely and honestly refuse if you’re already scheduled to work at that time.  For example, take time this weekend to map your plan for the week.  On Monday when a friend invites you to join an activity the next day, you can honestly say, “I’d love to, but I’m already scheduled to work during those hours.”

Be the person who has the schedule done the farthest in advance.  Then you can often participate in activities at the time which works best for YOU.  When you explain your scheduled conflict with an activity, your friends may ask what time would work for you.  Therefore, you can often choose the time and still enjoy most things you want to do.

So I encourage you to take time to clean out your week.  Block certain times for work and times not to work.  Then stick to that schedule as if you ARE your own boss!

I hope this tip helps you today!
