Many agents in the merchant services industry are running into more and more businesses who already have or want to purchase a point of sale systems. On this weeks webinar, we discussed detailed strategies on how to sell Point of Sale systems and which features and benefits merchants are looking for in this lucrative and quickly growing market.

Before we get to the playback, let’s look at a few reasons payments professionals are selling their clients POS Systems:

#1 – Increased retention. If you sell a POS System along with your other services, many clients will not want to switch from your system once in place.

 

#2 – Adds value to their clients. Nothing you could do for your clients in this industry will have as large of an impact on a small business client than helping them choose and implement a new point of sale system. If you have the right solution, your clients will probably never leave.

#3 – Increased Up front compensation. Even though our systems do not require any up front money from the merchant and we offer traditional financing options, the agent still makes $400 to $1000+ on each system sold and this provides a much needed up front boost while residual is building.

So, why are more and more small businesses choosing a POS System?

#1 – Reduced costs.  By using a point of sale system to manage inventory, time tracking and sales reporting business owners are able to pin point costs and eliminate them with confidence that they are making the right choice.

#2 – Increased control.  As a business owner, knowing what is going on in your business every hour of every day is crucial to making the right business decisions.  From staffing needs to promotions and sales, business owners want more control and they are turning to touch screen point of sale systems to find it.

#3 – Revenue growth.  Due to the cost effective availability of systems like ours that are integrated with loyalty programs to provide detailed marketing data and even the ability to send email and text campaigns right from the terminal based on customer buying patterns, most business owners realize that they must get a POS System in the next few years if they want to stay competitive and continue to grow.
