We are currently featuring a free training course “Introduction to Credit Card Processing” on our blog.  This video is part two in the series. In this video James discusses where the term “credit card processing” originated. There was a day not too long ago that all that was used was check cards and cash, but there was a problem that was presented. What if you went to the store to pick up milk and as you were taking “the half mile” trek to get milk you saw something on sale you wanted to purchase but did not have enough money? You could walk all the way to an ATM and get cash out to purchase it (including a fee for doing so), but who would go through the hassle to do that? Instead, what if the business owner was charged a small few for processing the cash card at the register and charging the customer’s account? This is how credit card processing started. Be sure to stay tuned for part three in tomorrow’s post!
